Chainsaw Man The Stage, the highly anticipated stage play adaptation of the popular manga series Chainsaw Man, has recently revealed its main visual, cast details, and more, creating a lot of excitement among fans ahead of its premiere. The stage play will be showcased in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan, throughout September and October.
One of the most exciting announcements is the casting of Aya Hirano, who is widely known for her portrayal of the titular character in the anime adaptation of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Hirano will bring the enigmatic, red-haired character Makima to life on stage. Interestingly, Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto credits Haruhi Suzumiya as the inspiration that ignited his otaku passion during his middle school years.
Joining Hirano in the cast are several talented actors who will portray key characters from Chainsaw Man:

- Mizuki Umetsu as Aki Hayakawa
- Mahiru Coda as Power
- Minami Tsukui as Himeno
- Haruki Iwata as Kobeni Higashiyama
- Kou Kanegae as Hirokazu Arai

- Masahide Tada as Chainsaw Man
- Yutaka Nakasone as Chainsaw Man
- Ore no Graffiti as Samurai Sword
- Shouma Yoshioka as Samurai Sword (transformed)
The stage play will be directed and written by Fumiya Matsuzaki, who has previously worked on stage play adaptations of SSSS.Gridman and Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Hakai ni Yoru Sakusei Re: (in)novation.
Chainsaw Man, originally a manga created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, has garnered a massive following and is currently in its second installment. The English licensing company Viz Media provides the following description for the series:
“Denji is a poor young man who will do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He is a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his life takes a wild turn one day when he is betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji becomes a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!”
Fans eagerly anticipating “Chainsaw Man The Stage” can mark their calendars for the first performance, which is scheduled to take place at The Galaxy Theatre on Tennozu Isle on September 16. The play will run until October 1 at this venue and then move to Kyoto Gekijo, where it will be staged from October 6 to 9.
