The Isekai Genre has always been a hot topic among the Anime Industry, with a ton of amazing series to watch.
Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is a parody of the isekai genre where we follows the epic tales of our main protagonist “Kazuma”.
With two seasons, it has already become the most popular Isekai Comedy Anime series, along with a movie “Legend of Crimson” which was released in 2019 as a sequel to the second season.
As a true fan of this series, you must be having questions such as When is the Konosuba Season 3 coming out? What will be the plot of the next season be? We have tried to answer all the questions you can have in this article.
Before we start our discussion about Season 3 let’s have a quick glimpse of what we have seen so far in this series.
Everything We know so far about KonoSuba
KonoSuba is a fantasy comedy anime series. The plot follows Kazuma, a Shut-in NEET who is transported to a fantasy world after dying in a traffic accident. In this new world, he is given the opportunity to have any one thing he desires. Kazuma decides to choose Aqua, a goddess who has been banished to the mortal world, as his companion. Together, they embark on a series of adventures, accompanied by a party of other eccentric characters, as they try to make a name for themselves in this new world.
Instead of typical isekai powers protagonists begins with, Kazuma doesn’t get any OP power but just some basic magic like Create Earth, Create Water, Wind Breath and Freeze. Using his high IQ and luck to progress towards his ultimate goal — to defeat the Demon King.
Kazuma along with the goddess Aqua, forms a party of extraordinary adventurers with whom they should work together to reach their final goal, though they all are the opposite personalities of Kazuma.
First there’s Aqua – the goddess of water, who only knows healing magic and some cheap party tricks; there’s Megumin, A crimson demon girl who only knows an explosion magic that she can only use one time a day; then the last but not least, Darkness, a strong crusuader who dumped all her stats into strength in order to get more hits, though her accuracy literally sucks.
Release Date of Konosuba Season 3 Anime
The Season 3 of Konosuba has officially been announced though the release date is not yet public. The previous two seasons came out in January so there’s some chances that the Season 3 will likely release in January 2023.
On average, after the studios announces an Anime, it took approx 12-18 months to broadcast it. Though, the director of this anime “Takaomi Kanasaki” is working on an another project – Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 in 2022.
Everybody’s favorite Explosions-obsessed wizard girl, Megumin, will also have a prequel Anime. In which, her schooling life in the crimson village will be covered, as well as explain the source of affection towards her explosion magic.

So far, 17 volumes of the light novels has been released, in which first two seasons and the canon movie covered the first five volumes.
It’s likely that the season 3 of the anime will adapt Volume six and seven.
