The J.C. staff will be taking the reins as the production studio for Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy Season 2, bringing their creative prowess to elevate the show to new heights. And guess what? The talented team behind the first season is back on board. Director Shinji Ishikawa, series composer Kenta Ihara, character designer Yukie Suzuki, and music composer Yasuharu Takanashi are all returning to deliver another outstanding season.

For those of you who haven’t watched Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy yet, let us give you a quick rundown. The story follows Makoto Misumi, an average teenager who gets summoned to another world as a hero. But here’s the twist: the goddess of this world considers him unworthy because of his looks and strips him of his hero status, casting him away to the far corners of the land. In this new world, Makoto encounters various demi-human (non-human) races and must tap into his newfound magical abilities and combat skills to survive. Join Makoto on his thrilling journey of self-discovery, resilience, and adventure as he strives to carve out a new life in a world that has turned its back on him.
The anime adaptation of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy draws its inspiration from the immensely popular light novels published by AlphaPolis. With Kei Azumi as the author and Mitsuaki Matsumoto as the illustrator, the series has captivated readers since its debut in 2013, boasting an impressive 19 volumes (including a side story volume) as of August 2022.
And that’s not all! Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy has also been adapted into a manga by Kotora Kino. Starting as a web novel called Shousetsuka ni Narou, the story continues to captivate audiences across different mediums.
